HayesBound by Memphis is a nicely written romance story that provides a quick escape from reality into the mysterious and chaotic lives of three characters who you'll either love or hate. My favorite character is Jasmine, a beautiful, successful, and well-educated woman who is torn between her love for two men - an unusual circumstance for a woman since you normally find that it's the men who can't make up their minds and commit to one woman. I liked Jasmine's honesty, courage and confidence in herself. She is every woman and there's a heartfelt message in this book that every woman must see for herself.
While there were times that seemed the author dragged the story on a bit, she still does an excellent job at bringing her readers back into the story, keeping us anticipating what will happen next.
One thing I would suggest to any author who writes fiction is to stick to 3-4 main characters and build your story from there. Throwing too many names in a story could distract the reader from the main plot, thus making it difficult to keep up or even reach the end.
Other than that, I think Jennifer does an outstanding job in telling Jasmine's story. So, I'm patiently waiting because I know there's more to come. 4 stars

This author takes you with her through love, lust, longing, confusion, tragedy and triumph. It is a quick page-turner and very good read. I highly recommend it. I am excited to read more from her.
This story hit me on so many levels that I was almost afraid that she knew the secrets I hold within! I felt connected, convicted and down right in awe! I was in suspense until the end, not really knowing the path the story would follow and moved to tears when it culminated. I know the author personally, and KNEW she was the love doctor but didn't know she had this hidden deep within her soul. I hope she continues to share her talents in writing with me and the rest of the world! I have passed the book on to friends and hope it makes its rounds back to me. I am hungry for more!
Loved this book !!! The story really pulled me in ! I could not detach myself from the story ! Evrey page turned left me feeling like I had to get to the next chapter to see what happens next ! The story is dynamic with the main characters present situation, her past , and the future . Also , I love the way the writer displays the main characters inner thoughts .. It helps you understand who Jazz really is.

This is a truly beautiful story about long lost love. Juicy and seductive...
Only one issue- I could NOT put it down! Especially the second half. As a result I am pretty certain that was the night that my husband and kids ate cereal for dinner.

Bound by Memphis is one of those books you hate to put down. I loved the journey Jennifer J Hayes takes her readers all while focusing on the lead character. You almost feel like you're in Jasmine's shoes while reading this book or at least can fully relate to her situation. I'd recommend this book to anyone. This would make a great movie as well.
Reading Jennifer's fast-paced, vividly written story brought back memories of past emotional conflicts that I thought were well-buried in time's tomb. As an older reader, I couldn't help recognizing the traps and snares that Jasmine was surely inviting into her life by the decisions she made involving an old love. I found myself constantly tugging at her, mentally, in my subconscious desire to spare her from a sad destiny with which I was all-too-familiar. "Been there, done that", I said to myself, time and again throughout the story, as if I thought she could hear me and turn back before experiencing an inevitable marital train wreck. The book is utterly captivating for readers of all ages, and either gender. I highly recommend the read.
Over 10 years ago, I lost my joy of reading. I don't know why, but it just left me and I never completed a book I began . . . until now! Bound by Memphis is a definite page turner that keeps you wanting to know more and more! This book had me laughing, crying, and yelling, literally out loud, at the protagonist! It's an emotional rollercoaster that I didn't want to stop riding. I learned there's a sequel and . . . Memphis Mae came in the mail today! I getting back on this ride NOW!
