Everything you always wanted to know about sex -- AND GARLIC -- is contained in George Feifer's sensuous and historically complete companion guide, a beautiful book that will, for many readers, surely shed light on this mysterious plant which over its long history has been worn, as well as eaten. With its beautiful illustrations and highlighted anecdotal information, one can pick it up and read any page at random and be quietly amused, as well as informed. And did I mention There are also wonderful recipes. But remember -- Great Garlic is as at home in the bedroom as it is in the kitchen.
George Feifer is an amazing author whose books I have been reading since MOSCOW FAREWELL nearly 40 years ago. Why? Because he can suggest sex so subtly as to make a woman want more....
Over the years, being a Russophile myself, i have asked others of the fairer sex so afflicted/blessed about Feifer and virtually instantaneously, they recall with reddening cheeks the hot scenes in his Book-of-the-Month selection in 1974 which can still be found in various reprints, as well as original hardbacks with his handsome face on the jacket.
Well, his photo is on this book, too, in a fortunately hazy representation that makes one wonder whether Feifer still HAS IT. Chapter Five's 60 pages about the aphrodisiac powers of GREAT GARLIC make this read more "good clean fun" than a reader ought to horde for him/herself. So, order the book and send it to your most prospective lover and thank Feifer for "keeping hope alive" while marveling at the great recipes that will do as good, or better job than Spanish fly....
